We are an industry leader. Our expertise is recognized around the world and supported through many recognitions and certifications. Following are notable certifications, ratings and credentials:
Global
- In March 2009, CSC announced that it has achieved global approval against two international standards ISO 20000 (Service Management) and ISO 9001 (Quality Management) certifications from Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance. CSC has continued to maintain this approval with a re-certification visit in September 2011. The approvals to these standards also continue to grow as CSC expands internationally including adding CSC China and our Luxembourg Data Centre to our approval.
- CSC Managed Services Sector (MSS) Global Applications Delivery (GAD) achieved SEI CMMI Level 3 rating in May 2011 for all applications outsourcing accounts globally except for CSC Australia. This was only the 6th Level 3 achievement across the industry using the newest version of the CMMI-DEV. The previous CMMI Level 3 achievement for outsourcing was in July 2005.
- CSC's Cloud Computing Services are certified by SAP AG for delivering SAP solutions to clients through CSC's Trusted Cloud Services portfolio.
Americas
- Nearly 30 CSC groups supporting U.S. civil and defense organizations have been certified compliant with ISO 9001:2000. Numerous projects and organizations, such as CSC’s Training Center of Excellence, have also been certified ISO 9001-compliant.
- CSC North American Public Sector re-achieved CMMI Level 3 in Jan 2009. This was for all US Government and Defense related work. The previous achievement was in November 2006. At that time they were the first business unit to earn an enterprise-wide CMMI Level 3 distinction. These ratings involved hundreds of people and 40 programs. SEI reports that the magnitude of the credential can’t be matched by any of our competitors.
- CSC North American Public Sector Enforcement, Security and Intelligence (ESI) Group achieved CMMI Level 3 on October 2009. The Foreign Affairs Division also achieved this rating in January 2011.
- CSC Financial and Tax Administration Solutions achieved CMMI Level 2 in Dec 2008
- CSC DMSS Stock Control System achieved CMMI Level 3 in April 2010
- CSC North American Public Sector Civil and Health Services Group, Solutions Development Division achieved CMMI Level 3 on Nov 2009
- CSC achieved the world’s first rating against the old CMMI Acquisition model, with CSC’s IRS PRIME Program rated at Level 3.
Asia
- CSC in India has achieved both ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 20000. CSC in India has upgraded its information security certification from BS 7799:2002 to ISO 27001:2005, the latest international standard specification for an Information Security Management System (ISMS).
- CSC Vietnam: SEI CMMI Level 5, Sept 2009: CSC FCG Vietnam became the first IT company in Vietnam to be appraised at CMMI V1.2 Level 5.
- CSC India re-achieved CMMI Level 5 in July 2010. This achievement was for applications work that was self contained within the India locations. CSC FSG India: SEI CMMI Level 5, July 2007: CSC’s Financial Services Group India achieved its first CMMI rating, a Level 5 after previously achieving CMM Level 5 in 2004. This achieved included all the India locations that provide support to FSG. CSC's Maybank account in Malaysia and Singapore achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification in April 2008.
Australia
- CSC was the first major IT outsourcing organization in Australia to achieve the global ISO/IEC 20000-1: 2005 certification, in August 2007.
Europe
- CSC has achieved international environmental standard ISO 14001 for its European headquarters.
- CSC has achieved Systems Security Engineering CMM Level 5, the first organization in the world to achieve this award.
- CSC was the first major IT services company in the UK to achieve BS 15000 (now ISO/IEC 20000).
- In 2002, CSC UK received SEI CMM Level 5, the first time the UK subsidiary of an IT services organization achieved this level of recognition.
- In 2007, the CSC Zurich Financial Services account in Germany achieved SEI CMMI Level 3.
