2012 All Party Parliamentary Rugby Awards

CSC joins the sporting elite at the All Party Parliamentary Rugby Awards 2012
For the third year running CSC proudly sponsored the All Party Parliamentary Rugby Awards, which this year honoured 'World Cup Heroes' with a spectacular black tie award ceremony hosted at the House of Commons. The evening was attended by former international players, members of the All Party Group and champions of industry. The awards represented a true celebration of sporting heroes who have inspired, entertained and always led from the front. They have done so with passion, purposeful grace, and often with ingenious execution.
This year’s winners were announced during the ceremony hosted by the BBC’s John Inverdale, and each winner was presented with a specially-designed jacket created by Dress2kill, London's premier bespoke tailors.
...and the winners were:
Francois Pienaar
John Eales
Shane Williams
and Jonny Wilkinson
As with all award ceremonies, the evening wouldn't have been complete without a special recognition award. The 2012 CSC Special Recognition Award was awarded to John Carlin whose book 'Playing the Enemy: Nelson Mandela and the Game that Made a Nation', about how Mandela used the 1995 Rugby World Cup to reconcile a nation riven by centuries of racial animosity, became the basis for Clint Eastwood's 2009 film, Invictus, starring Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon.
