Training Center

Each CSC Vietnam office has a designated training center with well-equipped training facilities, including training rooms, conference rooms and computer labs. Each training center provides training courses and seminars allowing its associates to update their knowledge and to advance their career paths.

Training Focus

There are five areas of training:

• Process Improvement
• Software Engineering
• State-of-the-art Technologies
• Management Skills
• Communication Skills

The training activities of the whole organization are determined by a training needs analysis which is conducted bi-annually. Associates continuously advance their knowledge through a well-defined role-based training program during employment.

Every associate is required to take a minimum of 80 hours of training on software development processes and technology each year. Associates who are team leaders are required to take management-training courses to enable them to effectively manage their team.

All associates are encouraged to improve their English communication skills by taking English language courses. These courses focus on developing pronunciation and general fluency skills so that associates can communicate directly with onshore clients. New staff members must go through a required training plan during their two-month probation period.

Independent Learning

We encourages independent learning by providing financial rewards to our associates who attain professional certificates or proficiency in English language.

A great number of our associates have achieved well-know certificates from leading organizations such as:

• PMP, from the Project Management Institute (PMI)
• MCSD.NET, MCDBA, MCSE from Microsoft
• Java certificates from Sun Microsystems
• OOAD from IBM
• OCP, OCA from Oracle
• ISTQB

Library Resources

CSC Vietnam has an onsite library that is continuously updated with advanced technology books. In addition, all associates have access to online resources such as Books24x7.com, and Skillport online training.

The online library Books24x7.com provides thousands of the latest and most well-regarded business and technology books. CSC associates use Books24x7.com for continuous learning, to solve job-critical challenges, and to drive corporate initiatives.

Skillport Online Training is a vital resource of training for CSC. Skillport has a huge bank of over 3,000 courses on a wide variety of topics including management, information technology, business and individual development. Our associates can access Skillport to plan their own training and take courses at any time, any place.
